Meta Ads Management in Nepal (Facebook and Instagram)
You have an offer, a season or a launch, and the people who'd want it aren't searching for it yet. Boosting the post got likes and no customers. This is the moment to run Facebook and Instagram as campaigns, counted properly, in accounts you own.
Animated audience test: a segment of people is selected from a wider grid, sent to three ad creatives, and each creative's result bar fills until one clear winner is crowned, showing Meta Ads management as audience targeting plus creative testing.
I'm Shashikant Shah, a digital marketing expert in Kathmandu. Meta ads management is the Facebook and Instagram half of the paid work I do, for showrooms, colleges, consumer brands, restaurants and service businesses across Nepal, and for brands reaching Nepalis abroad. It sits next to Google Ads and SEO in the work I describe on the Meta ads expert page, and it runs in your own Business Manager.
Short answer: Meta ads management in Nepal means owning your own Page, pixel and ad account, installing the pixel and Conversions API so leads are counted once, running campaigns in Ads Manager against a lead or message objective, sending enquiries to WhatsApp, testing distinct creatives, and reporting cost per lead in NPR every month. Expect the first number you can trust in three to four weeks.
When you need this
Dashain is six weeks away and the showroom needs the offer in front of families in Kathmandu and Pokhara before they've decided where to buy. A college needs applications before the admission deadline. A brand wants Nepalis in Australia to know it exists. Nobody is searching for any of that yet, which is exactly when Facebook and Instagram earn their place.
Almost every business that tells me Facebook ads don't work has been boosting posts. Boosting buys engagement, and engagement from people who will never buy feels like something is happening. A campaign in Ads Manager with a lead or message objective, a working pixel and a page that matches the ad is a different thing altogether.
The other problem is ownership. A vendor set up the Page, the pixel and the ad account inside their own Business Manager, and when the relationship ended, the business lost the Page, the pixel history and every audience it had built. It's worth fixing before any budget goes in.
The problems I see most often:
- Boosted posts instead of campaigns, so the account is buying likes rather than enquiries.
- A pixel that fires twice, or not at all, and no Conversions API, so Meta is guessing who converts.
- Messenger, WhatsApp and phone enquiries the account can't see, so the campaigns look worse than they are.
- One creative running for months, with no second angle to test it against.
- The Page, pixel and ad account owned by someone else's Business Manager.
What I actually do
- Ownership first: your Business Manager, Page, Instagram account, pixel, ad account and audiences moved into your name, with me added as a partner. You keep everything if we stop.
- Measurement: the pixel and the Conversions API both installed and deduplicated by event ID, with leads from Messenger, WhatsApp and calls counted. You get a cost per lead that reflects what actually happened. The wider setup is on the tracking page.
- Campaigns and audiences: campaigns built in Ads Manager against a lead, message or sales objective, with retargeting audiences from your visitors and engagers built from day one. You stop paying cold prices for warm people.
- Lead forms that reach you: instant forms and click to WhatsApp ads set up so an enquiry lands on the phone of whoever answers it, within minutes. If you want the follow up automated, that's the n8n work.
- Creative testing: three or four distinct angles at a time, each given enough budget to produce a decision, losers switched off quickly, and creative that looks like the feed rather than a poster. You learn which message sells.
- Festival and season plans: offers for Dashain, Tihar, admission season and wedding season built and approved weeks ahead, so the campaign is running when people are deciding. Where the landing page is the problem, I fix it as landing page optimisation, and for showrooms and shops the manufacturing page has the dealer side.
How it works
First call and audit. The first thirty minutes are free. You give me read only access to the ad account, or tell me what you sell and who buys it if you haven't started, and I tell you what's broken and whether Meta can work for your offer. If you go ahead, the audit gives you a written 30 day plan, with what's not included.
The work. Ownership, the pixel and the Conversions API go in over the first two weeks, in your own Business Manager, with you paying Meta directly. Then the campaigns and the first creatives launch, and it becomes a weekly routine: results by creative and audience, budget moved to what's working, new angles written and filmed.
Reporting, and what you keep. Every month you get a plain language report from your own Ads Manager: spend in NPR, leads and messages, cost per lead, which creative won and what I'll try next. If a month went badly, it says so. The Page, pixel, audiences and account history stay yours, and I charge a fixed fee, never a percentage of your spend.
Proof from Meta Ads management work
I've run a cost efficient mobile app install campaign for Build Change's Surakshit Ghar programme, lead generation campaigns for Jhalko, awareness campaigns for Famous Steel and Home Appliances aimed at Nepal and the Nepali diaspora in Australia, enrolment campaigns for Cosmos College of Management and Technology, and dealership campaigns for BRB Motor Corp. They're on the case studies page under the scope I delivered.
I haven't published a Meta ads result with numbers yet, and I won't invent one. The closest published figures by mechanism are the Google Ads results on that page, where fixing the tracking first cut the cost per lead. Some of those came from engagements I worked on as part of an agency team, so read them as account totals rather than mine alone.
What Meta Ads management costs
My prices are published. An audit of your Business Manager, pixel, campaigns and landing pages with a 30 day action plan is USD 249, about NPR 34,000. A four week sprint is USD 899, about NPR 122,000. Ongoing work is USD 1,800 a month, about NPR 245,000. What each one leaves out is on the pricing page. The first thirty minute call is free. If the audit shows your offer needs a page or an ownership fix before any ads make sense, I'll say so and stop there.
Questions about Meta Ads management
Why don't my boosted posts bring customers?
Because boosting buys likes and comments on the post, from people Meta thinks will react, and gives you almost no say over who sees it or what counts as a result. A campaign built in Ads Manager against a lead or message objective is a different mechanism.
Meta ads or Google Ads?
Meta reaches people who weren't searching, which suits offers, launches and products people discover by scrolling. Google Ads catch people already searching for what you sell. If there's search demand for your service, I'd usually start there and add Meta for offers and seasons.
How long until leads come in?
Messages usually start within the first few days once the campaign is live. A cost per lead you can trust takes three to four weeks, because the pixel and Conversions API need to be right and the campaign needs conversions to learn from.
What budget do I need?
Enough to test three or four creatives against each other and still get a readable number of leads a month. That depends on your category and what a lead is worth to you, so I won't quote one figure for everyone. On the first call I tell you whether your budget can work, and if it can't, I say so.
Who owns the Page, the pixel and the ad account?
You do, in every case. Your Business Manager, your Page, your Instagram account, your pixel, your ad account and your audiences, with me added as a partner. If a previous vendor holds them in their Business Manager, moving them back is the first job, and I'll help with that whether or not you hire me.
When are you not the right person?
If you want daily posting and community management, that's a different job and I'll point you to people who do it. If you want followers bought or reach reported as success, I'm the wrong fit. And if your offer needs a landing page that you don't want touched, ads won't rescue it.
