SEO Consultant in Biratnagar, Nepal
Businesses in Biratnagar sell to buyers who search from Kathmandu, from Kolkata and Delhi, and from the next street. Most of their websites weren't built for any of them. This is what SEO consulting looks like for the east, done remotely, in your own accounts.
Animated search results page: five ranked results with one page, yours, climbing from fifth place to first while the competitors move down, showing SEO consulting as the work of earning the top position.
I'm Shashikant Shah, an SEO consultant based in Kathmandu and a software engineer. I work with businesses in Biratnagar and across the east, Itahari, Dharan, Damak, remotely, the same way I work with clients in the Valley and abroad: an audit, a written plan, then monthly work in your own Search Console and Analytics. It's for the industries, traders, hospitals and colleges that make up the city's economy. The method is on my SEO expert page, and the city itself is on the Biratnagar page.
Short answer: SEO consulting for a Biratnagar business means finding out how your buyers search, whether that's a distributor in Kathmandu, an importer in Kolkata or a patient in Itahari, fixing the site so Google can crawl and trust it, building the pages those searches deserve, and counting the enquiries. Remote works fine. Expect months, not weeks.
When you need this
Biratnagar is an industrial and trading city with the Indian border a few kilometres away at Jogbani. The businesses I hear from are mills and factories, importers and distributors, hospitals, and colleges filling seats for the next intake. Their buyers are rarely walking past the gate. They're searching.
A B2B buyer looking for a supplier searches less often than a consumer and checks harder. They want a capability page, real specifications, certifications they can verify, a phone that's answered, and the same business details wherever they look. Most company sites I see from the east were built once, by whoever was cheapest, and give a buyer none of that.
The local side is different again. Someone in Itahari searching "hospital near me" or "CA firm in Biratnagar" gets a map pack, and in the east that map pack is far less crowded than Kathmandu's. There's room to move quickly if the profile and the site say the same thing.
The problems I see most often:
- A company site that isn't indexed at all, so a search for the company name shows a directory listing instead of you.
- Product and capability pages with no specifications, so a buyer can't tell what you make or in what quantity.
- Business details that differ between Google, the trade directories and the site: an old phone number, an office that moved, a name spelt three ways.
- A Nepali only site when the buyer in Delhi or Kolkata searches in English or Hindi.
- Enquiries arriving on WhatsApp and the phone with nobody counting where they came from.
What I actually do
- The audit: crawling, indexing, speed and every page checked against what your buyers search and what the competitors above you do. You get a written report tied to real URLs, in priority order.
- Capability and product pages: one page per product line or service, with specifications, capacities, certifications and the questions a buyer asks before calling. You get pages a purchasing manager can forward to their boss.
- Technical fixes: indexing, redirects, speed on mobile data, schema for a manufacturer, a hospital or a college, done by me because I'm a developer too. The deeper layer is on the technical SEO page. You get a site Google can read without guessing.
- Citations and links you'd show anyone: trade and industry directories, chambers and associations, suppliers, local news, colleges. No bought links. The approach is on the link building page. You get consistent business details everywhere a buyer checks.
- Local search for the consumer side: the Google Business Profile, reviews, and location pages for Biratnagar, Itahari, Dharan and Damak, as part of the local SEO work. You get found on the map by people already in the east.
- Tracking: Search Console, GA4, and call and WhatsApp clicks counted as conversions in your own accounts, so the monthly report talks about enquiries. For factories and mills, the manufacturing page has more on how those buyers behave.
How it works
First call and audit. The first thirty minutes are free. Send me the domain and tell me who you're trying to reach: distributors, patients, students, walk in customers. I'll say on the call whether SEO is the right fix. If it is, the audit gives you a written 30 day plan, in priority order, with what's not included.
The work. Fixes go in over the following weeks, in your own accounts, with me added as a user. Indexing and technical items first, then the capability and product pages, then citations and the profile. If you have a developer or someone who writes, they get briefs they can check their work against.
Reporting, and what you keep. Every month you get a plain language report from your own Search Console and Analytics: what changed, what it means, what I'm unsure of, what's next. Searches for your name are counted separately from the searches that bring new buyers. Everything stays in your name. If we stop, you lose my access and nothing else.
Proof from SEO consulting in Biratnagar work
I haven't published a Biratnagar result with numbers yet, and I won't invent one. The nearest published results by mechanism are a Kathmandu ecommerce site whose organic sessions went from about 2,300 to about 13,500 a month over twelve months, with organic led revenue roughly tripled, and a Kathmandu clinic whose map views went from about 2,100 to about 9,240 a month in six months, with calls up about 85%. Some of these came from engagements I worked on as part of an agency team, so read them as account totals rather than mine alone. Both followed the sequence this page describes. The baselines and dates are on the case studies page.
For a manufacturer or a hospital in the east the mechanism is the same and the competition is lighter. That's an observation from audits, not a promise, and the numbers on your report will be yours.
What SEO consulting in Biratnagar costs
My prices are published. An audit of your site, your competitors and your tracking with a 30 day action plan is USD 249, about NPR 34,000. A four week sprint is USD 899, about NPR 122,000. Ongoing work is USD 1,800 a month, about NPR 245,000. What each one leaves out is on the pricing page. The first thirty minute call is free, and for a small local business in the east the audit plus a month of your own effort is often enough. I'll say so if it is.
Questions about SEO consulting in Biratnagar
Do I need to be in Biratnagar, or do you?
Neither. The work happens in your Search Console, Analytics, Business Profile and website, and all of that is online. I'm in Kathmandu, I work with the east the same way I work with clients abroad, and I come for a first meeting when it helps.
How long before a business in the east sees results?
Indexing and technical fixes show in Search Console within four to eight weeks. Capability pages for a trade business take three to six months to earn their place, because buyers search rarely and Google needs time. Local map results in the east often move faster than in Kathmandu because there's less competition. I give you review points, not a ranking date.
Can you reach buyers in India across the border?
Within SEO, yes: pages in English, and in Hindi where the buyer searches in it, clear specifications and prices, structured data with the right currency, and business details a buyer in Kolkata or Delhi can verify. That's search visibility only, not customs or export advice.
What does it cost, and is there a cheaper option?
The audit is USD 249, about NPR 34,000, and for many businesses in the east that's the right first step. The sprint and the retainer are on the pricing page. What others in Nepal charge is in my article on SEO costs.
How is this different from your Kathmandu consulting page?
Same method, different weighting. In Kathmandu the fight is against sites that have published for years, so content and links carry more weight. In the east the first jobs are usually indexing, capability pages and consistent business details across the trade directories, because that's where a B2B buyer looks. The Kathmandu page covers the Valley version.
When are you not the right person?
If your buyers are a handful of known distributors you already have on the phone, SEO won't add much, and I'll tell you that on the first call. If you need orders this month, Google Ads is the honest answer. If you want bought links or a fake listing, no.
